![]() There’s plenty of opportunity for expansion and improvement in the coming years, whether that be DLC or a sequel, and if Avalanche fail to deliver on that then feel free to be unhappy. My biggest concern up to now was that the interior wouldn't match the exterior, like tons of fake windows and towers you can't climb but if the first floor map is any reference, seems like we will definitely have full Hogwarts covered. Reserve criticism for what Avalanche do in the future rather than what they have done so far with Hogwarts Legacy. Seriously the only thing I truly cared about with these leaks is the map of Hogwarts. If you’re not happy with the game then that’s fine, however I would encourage patience. Avalanche were successful in capturing the magic of Hogwarts, and I genuinely felt immersed in a world that’s been a huge part of my life for many years. ![]() When you factor all this in though, it could have been much, much worse.Īs both a gamer and a big Potter fan, I feel like this game exceeded my expectations. There has been plenty of fair criticism of HL, that I can’t deny. When the time was ticking down to the release of Hogwarts Legacy, I was just hoping for one thing. This one would have fallen into the hands of a Potterhead who was perhaps too passionate and eager. In this case, the leak came from The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy artbook. JK Rowling couldn’t include all aspects of the world into seven books, so how could you expect Avalanche to include everything in one game? Usually, this type of leak, increasingly common for big hits, results from a high-flying hack, an insider breaking confidentiality agreements, or an unfortunate post. As I’ve said on a previous post, this is Avalanche’s first attempt at a Wizarding World RPG, so it was never going to be all singing, all dancing. The Wizarding World is exactly that - a world. During a special State of Play, the 20-minute show was dedicated to showing off new gameplay and plot details. I’ve only been on Reddit for a few days, but my observation of this sub has led me to believe that a large number of people may have simply expected too much from this game. Avalanche Software lifted the veil on Hogwarts Legacy.
